A Serious Safety Hazard Found—And a Grateful Homeowner

During a recent home inspection, I uncovered a major safety concern that could have put lives at risk. The gas heater exhaust flue in the attic was disconnected—meaning dangerous fumes, including carbon monoxide, were being released into the home instead of venting safely outside.
To make matters worse, the flue was pressed directly against A/C ductwork and roof decking—both flammable materials that should never come into contact with a hot exhaust flue.
Because this was a serious life-safety issue, I immediately notified both my client (the buyer) and the current homeowner. They were both incredibly grateful. In fact, a family member of the homeowner who was present during the inspection was so impressed by the level of detail and care that they requested a card to schedule an inspection for their own home—not to sell, but to ensure it’s safe for their family.
Whether you’re buying, selling, or simply living in your home, it’s wise to schedule an inspection to catch hidden issues before they become hazards. Your safety—and peace of mind—matter.
If you’re looking for a home inspector who genuinely cares about your well-being, I’d be honored to serve you.
